Consultant Medical Herbalist · Theologian · Social Entrepreneur

A Different Kind of Herbalist in Northern Ireland

I'm Garreth, the quiet force behind The Wild Sage. For those who seek answers beyond the mainstream, I offer a blend of clinical herbalism, lived wisdom, and pastoral care—grounded, unorthodox, and deeply personal.

My approach isn't for everyone. I don't offer quick fixes or trendy rituals. Instead, I work with those who value depth, subtlety, and the kind of transformation that unfolds quietly but changes everything.

Clients come to me when they're ready to move beyond the noise—when they want to feel heard, empowered, and guided by someone who listens more than he speaks.

"If you're seeking a guide who values discretion, depth, and genuine partnership, you may find what you're looking for at The Wild Sage. If you prefer the loudest voice in the room, or a one-size-fits-all solution, I'm probably not your man."

A Holistic Approach

Treating the Root, Not Just the Symptom

With roots in ministry and years as a consultant medical herbalist, I specialise in the spaces others overlook: oncology, men's health, and the intricate dance between mind, body, and spirit.

I practise in an area of functional medicine known as psychoneuroimmunoendocrinology—understanding the intricate balance of how the systems of the body are all tightly interwoven and depend on each other.

Where modern medicine tends to treat symptomatically, I use the case history to build up a pattern of how the body is functioning and where support is needed, thus addressing the root cause of disease.

"I don't just dispense remedies—I help you reclaim your story, your health, and your sense of possibility."

Background & Vision

Rooted in Community

My background lies in ministry, youth and community work. I have a wealth of experience in the Faith & Community Sector at board and executive levels. It is my love of people and desire to see wholeness in the community that seeded the vision of The Wild Sage.

When not working, you might find me in the open water, out in the garden, foraging, or experimenting with my newest homebrew!
